Emeraude Toubia

Emeraude is a Canadian actor who is best famous for the fantasy television show Shadowhunters on Freeform in addition to Venevision telenovelas Cosita linda as well as Voltea Pa' Que te Enamores. As a dancer and model Toubia has also had great success in both of these fields. She is a native of Montreal, but grew up and attended school in Texas. The passion she has for performing has been with her since the age of a child. She's been learning different dance styles from the time she was a child. In her 15th year she was competing in beauty pageants. In 1999, she made her first on-screen appearance in Televisa's children's program El Mundo de los Ninos. Toubia gained fame after, in 2008 she was competing in Nuestra Belleza Latina season two of Univision's beauty pageant. Toubia made her acting debut in the year 2010, playing a receptionist in an episode of Telemundo's TV show Aurora. In 2015, she appeared in her first feature film, the action-drama Tattooed Love. Toubia was recognized for her performance on Shadowhunters, Toubia was nominated for the Teen Choice Awards for Choice TV Actress: Fantasy/Sci-Fi in 2017 and 2018.
