Avery Sunshine
Avery Sunshine is a mercurial singer and composer who weds the soul of gospel and jazz with R&B to create a unique mix. Avery Sunshine has appeared on Broadway and in festivals throughout Europe as well as performing at Democratic National Convention. Sunshine is Denise White. Her birthplace is Chester Pennsylvania, where she started her musical career by playing the piano and singing at church. Her music career started in Atlanta while attending Spellman College. The Fighting Temptations The first single featuring her voice was called Stalk You A house 12 released only in Japan and was later remixed by many producers and remains the mainstay in her live show. Her voice was also featured in the music video for The Fighting Temptations. In 2005, she became the keyboardist in Tyler Perry's stage show Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday was the Grammy and Tony Award winner who approached her in 2007 for a position as the Choral Director for Dreamgirls, the theatre production at Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine received national attention during her four daily performances in 2008 at the Democratic National Convention. She was then invited to perform in the Obama administration's 2009 inauguration.
