Winona-Ryder

Winona Laura Horowitz who is professionally known by the name Winona Ryder was born in Winona Minnesota. Her name was chosen by her parents after the town in which she grew up. Michel Horowitz' father was an author and editor, as were Cynthia Palmer and her mother. Ryder's parents also happen to be Jewish. Ryder believes herself to being Jewish. The actress is the younger sister of Uria who is half-sister to Jubal and Sunyata. Ryder was born in the United States and moved with her family members to Mendocino County California at the age of seven. The family didn't have electricity. Ryder who loved reading when she was 12, became a bookworm because Ryder did not have access to television. At the age of 12 Ryder joined the American Conservatory Theatre to take acting classes. Lucas The film from 1986 which was her first big part. Ryder was 15 at the time she was cast. Ryder was bullied in the high school. She hoped acting would bring about a change. Unfortunately, it didn't happen. But that didn't stop her pursuing dreams. Beetlejuice the 1988 Tim Burton film, was her first major break. Ryder went on to have success in roles. Two Academy Awards were nominated, one for The Age of Innocence (1996).
